Mr. V.M. Morrison is being considered
for promotion to Assistant Superintendent of Police. He is at present acting in that grade. Mr. W.N. Darkin is not now considered to be suitable for such promotion.

I regret the discrepancies in my

July, 1949, regarding the effective date of Mr. Elston's retirement. The correct date should be 22nd June, 1949, as reported in my staff
